Official complaint lodged 9th March 2026 I am generally appalled at the regard that Healthy Communities have for the health of the community! Yes, I have had a reply (4th March 2026) from J Pritchard, Public Health Manager, but the reported threat to my body and life by one mean local has been ignored! The health of other 'vulnerable' people in the neighbourhood is also ignored - I staged a litterpick of part of the local Claycroft Estate on Saturday 7th March) and was 'very upset' by the amount of junk (mainly household with some building waste) left around, principally in front of the Love Lane flats (DY9 8BS) - it seems that nobody had bothered to report this junk (the lawns were yellowed), let alone arrange a collection, for weeks! The only word to describe the scene is one of squalor - many officials will consider the residents unworthy, but some will be innocently trying to live their lives and some, the most vulnerable, will barely have the energy to move, let alone complain! How can a Council, an arm of government, become, so rapidly, so horribly, so corrupt? I have spoken this morning to the local Housing office who said a caretaker does exist - but there's no evidence that even five minutes work have been undertaken! Yes, the Council claims to be short of funds, but idle, even malicious, officials exist throughout! And surely a man and a van, relatively unskilled, can be hired with costs at least relatively low? Given the apparent global exploitation, for the same rate, risking an allegation of poor humour in this context, a woman and two vans could be hired! Seriously, isn't it time for the Borough to consider its Duty of Care? Acknowledgement: FS-Case-809316819.
